Friday Dish: Holiday Blog Hop

It’s that time of year again. Long lines at the stores and the post office, but that’s not all. This is the time of year when all those holiday movies take over the television. I remember many years ago watching the Christmas movies set in small towns, or even big cities, and something about them just gave off this feeling of warmth, family and togetherness. No matter what the characters went through, there was always a happy ending. It was nice to see and fun to fantasize about that small town with the heart of a close knit family—or maybe a close knit extended family. Since I love the fictional small town feel I decided to add my love of the friendly small town to this year’s abundance of Christmas books.

In love before christmas with titleIn my book, In Love Before Christmas, Lani Andrews made a promise with an old friend turned nemesis that they would marry each other if neither were in love before their thirty-second Christmas. The thirty-second Christmas is approaching and Lani has some fast work to do if she is going to fall in love in three weeks or suffer the town legend fate of the St. Mary’s Curse. There is only one person she trusts to help her—longtime best friend, Matthew Taylor. What she doesn’t realize is Matthew has been in love with her for years. Will this best friend help her fall in love with another man, or will Matthew Taylor pull out all the stops to show Lani Andrews he could be the love of her life if she would just open her eyes to the possibilities? It’s Christmas in a small town and anything can happen.
