My gosh, it has been a busy week. Not only am I trying to pack, and secure housing for the move that should be just a little over a month away now, but I am also still writing, knitting, editing, and trying to get in music practice.
Music this week hasn’t been so great. I missed a lot of days and I’m really hoping today can be the turn around that gets the cello back between my legs for a very long practice session—but I’m not holding my breath on that because I do still have a lot of packing left to do—a lot.
I also released Seducing the Bodyguard, book seven in the Men of Action series, and a new short story series under the Netherland St. James line of short erotic romance stories. I have been out of the erotic romance scene for a while now, so I thought I would dip my pen back into it for at least four short stories. I have one released, Way of the Wolf, and another one completed and ready for release on the fifteenth of this month—Waking the Dragon, which is inspired by a cello music piece I wrote with the same title.
I’m editing Vendetta, book eight in the Men of Action series, and trying to get that done before going back to edits on book nine. And of course there is the Shadow Hills series. I’m editing, plus working on wrapping up the series with the last book—June. Oh, and remember that shawl I’m trying to knit for my night out next month? Well, I’m still working on it ever so slowly. I really do need to just take an eight hour day to sit down and work on it, but I just can’t find the time to do that so I’m going to keep knitting little by little and with hopes, it will be done in time for my night out. If not, then I’ll have to figure something else out by way of cover ups. Someone robbed me of the very beautiful (older than me) stole that my mother gave to me years ago, so I can’t wear that. Yes, I still miss it because she gave it to me and that made it doubly special, but it was also just perfect for those nights when I go out and want to dress up. I keep trying to create something that will come close, but I can’t. So, if my knitted shawl is ever finished; I shall have to make do with that for my March night out.
Other than that, it’s Black History Month. I personally think every month is a good month to learn about history and culture, but since this month is dedicated to Black History, then why not use this month to learn something about it? And, of course there is Valentine’s Day for all of you who celebrate. Ladies, don’t forget to get your guy something, and guys, don’t forget to get your ladies something special. Although, my thought is that gifts should be given all year, not just on one day. You never know when that little, special, thought can make somebody smile.
That’s all for now. More Dish next week, same time, same place. I hope you all have a great weekend.
