Friday DIsh: TIme for a Change

This week has been busy, and not just with writing. Of course I have been hard at work with editing book six in the Men of Action series. I’m going to do one more round of edits and then I’m giving it to my beta/editor for her read through and then I’ll do another round of edits…there’s a lot of editing. Oh, and yes, I haven’t messed up my math here. Book five in the Men of Action series is done and it does have a release date of November 1, 2011. So while book five is ready for release on the release date, book six is in edits and book seven is on the way toward almost fifteen thousand words now…and I’m only in chapter three. I just started book seven, but I have been waiting for this one. I’m so excited about my lead female, and the story, and where it’s going so I can’t wait to tell you more about it. Book seven isn’t out until next year and there are two books in between so I’m going to tell you more about those other two books first. In a couple weeks I’ll give you more details on book five in the Men of Action series, Secrets and Lies.

This week I also had to do some formatting of Dangerous Obsessions for sale on the ARe, site. So now you all know that you can buy that book on Amazon Kindle, Lulu, or ARe.

In addition to writing this week I had some personal things require my attention and somehow I realized (for like the umpteenth time) that I need to better structure my schedule. I am always working on something. I sew, and knit and bake, but sewing and knitting is something that I’m actually hoping to turn into a successful business so I have been playing around with some ideas this week. It’s still a work in progress, but with hopes…and this is still on the high level of uncertainty…but with hopes I can have the online store up and going by February. I don’t know, I’m always trying to think of ways to recession proof my checkbook…at least enough to not end up on the street because I can’t pay rent. So, I try to find things that I’m good at and make a go of it. One day the job market here might recover, but I can’t sit around and wait for that to happen. I have to make my own way and so that’s what I’m trying to do.

Outside of personal things and writing and more writing ;), I’m just working on changing some structural things right now. I am hoping that after I take care of some of that personal business next week I’ll see just how much time I’ll be able to devote to blogging. I want to try some different things, but right now I have to focus. I do plan on finishing out the current You Tell Me the Story segment, but I don’ t know if I’ll be able to start another character this year. I’ll let you all know.

Anyway, that’s all for this week’s dish.
