Hey everybody. First, if you’re here for the Military Blog Hop then click the link (after you read this post of course ) and you will go straight to the hop post.
Second, I decided I want to do a Black Friday Sale too…okay, mine will probably start a little early, but it will be close enough. I know some of you all will probably be fighting for your life amongst the crowd in the regular stores but don’t forget to do a bit of Lulu shopping. Let’s just say I’m planning something fun for two upcoming new releases, and I will talk more about it this upcoming Friday.
Now, on to the Fly on the Wall post. As you all know (some of you might not) On Thin Ice is available for purchase on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Lulu (print and e-book for Lulu). This is the third book in the Special Ops series and falls within the Search and Rescue segment. I have already finished the final book in the segment, but it’s not out until next year. Currently I’m working on the first book in the Witness Protection segment of this series. I like my lead guy; he’s an artist–like that surprises any of you…okay it might. Anyway…back on topic here for the Fly on the Wall part of the post:
On Thin Ice ~ Jet Jackson has been a dedicated member of the Squadron. He has gone on rescue mission after rescue mission, but this time the mission is personal. This time it’s life or death for somebody he cares about and he will stop at nothing to save her.
He pulled out his knife, ready to cut the bindings holding her in the chair. The moment he touched her shoulder she awakened with a frightened gasp. “It’s okay,” he whispered. He saw the tension in her body ease.
“Jet,” she whispered nearly breathless. “You came for me.”
He cut the binding on one ankle as he stayed behind her chair, watching the door and ready to shoot should somebody enter. “You knew I would come for you.”
“I had hoped, but I wasn’t sure you would.”
He moved to her side, ready to work on the bindings holding her wrists to the arms of the chair. “I will always come for you, Akira.” He placed one gloved palm on her cheek and she leaned into his touch. Her eyes closed and he could see the single tear escaping them.
